Project implementation period: 01/08/2025 – 31/08/2027
Project objective:
To support the integration of 400 third-country nationals legally residing in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship through comprehensive educational, professional, and social measures enabling active participation in social and professional life, as well as to educate Polish society on integration and preventing discrimination—so as to build an open, tolerant, and inclusive society.
Target group:
The target group includes all third-country nationals aged 18+ who are legally residing in Poland, excluding:
- persons staying in open centres of the Office for Foreigners, and
- persons in return procedures staying in guarded centres of the Border Guard.
Activities:
Classes will be offered to a group of 200 people, divided into groups according to proficiency level—from beginner (A1)to intermediate (B1). The courses will focus on communication skills necessary for functioning in Polish society, such as communicating in offices, at work, and in social situations and everyday interpersonal interactions.
Courses developing civic awareness:
They aim to familiarise participants with the basic principles of how the Polish state functions, including the legal system and social norms that regulate life in Poland. They will help participants better understand the country’s institutional and social structures.
Individual and group career counselling:
Tailored to each participant’s needs. Counselling sessions will take into account participants’ previous work experience, education, skills, and personal aspirations. Career advisors will help participants define realistic professional goals aligned with the Polish labour market. During group workshops, participants will have the opportunity to develop job-search skills in Poland, including how to plan a career path, create a CV, and prepare for an interview according to Polish standards.
Psychological support:
Psychological sessions will be adjusted to participants’ individual needs, taking into account their specific circumstances, experiences, and emotional difficulties. The goal is to help them cope with current challenges and also to provide psychological preparation for social and professional integration.
Animation and integration activities:
They will enable foreigners to build relationships with the local community and other participants. Integrative outings to the cinema, an exhibition, a concert, or a museum will create opportunities for shared experiences that help build bonds and trust between people. Intercultural workshops for both participants and local communities will allow mutual learning about traditions, culture, and customs. Sports and recreational activities in the form of family picnics or community events will enable shared fun and getting to know not only the participants but also their families.
Educational workshops for Polish citizens:
They aim to improve understanding of the integration processes of foreigners, raise awareness of the difficulties foreigners face during adaptation, and present positive examples of integration and intercultural cooperation.
Outcomes:
The planned activities will support the integration of third-country nationals in two main areas: active inclusion into society and educating Polish society about migration and integration. The Centre will help foreigners adapt to life in Poland and will also contribute to building a society based on mutual respect, openness, and equality.
