Between July 15 and August 2, as part of the project “ZULOWE WSPARCIE” funded by Google.org through the POP Fund, we organized a series of workshops titled “Next Door – Polish-Ukrainian Integration and Participation Meetings.”
During sessions held in Mierzyn, Stargard, Szczecinek, and Świnoujście, participants from Ukraine and Poland discussed how Polish-Ukrainian integration is progressing and how the support and integration system for migrants can be improved. The workshops were divided into two parts.
The first part focused on local diagnostics – participants reflected on the strengths and challenges of the towns they live in, as well as the current state of migrant support and Polish-Ukrainian integration. A key aspect of the workshops was the conversation between Poles and Ukrainians, fostering mutual understanding and sharing of insights and needs related to migration.
The second part involved collaborative work on ideas for joint initiatives aimed at enhancing Polish-Ukrainian integration through cooperation and community engagement.
