We had the pleasure of visiting Kalisz Pomorski Municipality (July 25–26) and Bierzwnik Municipality (July 29–30), where our trainers Jadwiga Olszowska-Urban and Michał Głuszyk led the first Civic Participation Workshops focused on diagnosing the strengths and challenges of the municipalities.
During the meetings, active residents of both municipalities reflected on what makes their communities unique, what assets they have, and what challenges they face. After co-creating a community diagnosis, participants spent the second day creatively developing ideas for local development and engagement initiatives. Finally, through a democratic vote, one idea per municipality was selected, and ZUL will support each selected initiative with 4,000 PLN.
More activities coming soon – next stops are Pyrzyce Municipality and Police County.
