“Good Advice for Seniors!” is a project aimed at increasing the knowledge and skills of seniors (aged 60+) in the area of social participation. Participants will learn how Senior Councils, Senior Clubs, and Senior Plus Homes operate,
and how to actively engage in the socio-economic life of their municipality. A total of 75 people will take part in the project.
**Who is it for?**
For Senior Initiative Groups from 5 municipalities in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, selected through recruitment.
**Selection criteria:** – Submission of 15 participants from one municipality, – Commitment to participate in all project stages, – Selection based on the order of applications.
Preferred applications: – Organized groups supported by a senior organization or municipality, – Groups from municipalities where local authorities express support for establishing a Senior Council or other advisory bodies (e.g., via a letter of intent, promotion, or providing venues), – Groups from municipalities where no Senior Council exists, followed by those with inactive or outdated councils, – Groups with access to meeting facilities.
**What’s included in the program?** – 2 trainings for Senior Local Initiative Animators, – 3 local participation trainings: volunteering, leadership networking, intergenerational cooperation, – Study visit to a Senior Council, Senior Club or Senior Plus Home, – Civic Activation Workshops for Seniors in each of the 5 municipalities, – 5 municipal debates on the role of seniors in social and economic life.
This is a chance for seniors to become more active, engaged, and ready to take action for their local communities. Together we build strong, integrated communities!
